Yoga Balance offers Yoga Nidra Classes on a monthly basis (usually held on the last Friday of the month).
Yoga Nidra is a deep relaxation practice from the Indian yoga tradition, also known as 'psychic sleep’. It is thought that a
one hour Yoga Nidra session has the rejuvenating effects
of 4-5 hours sleep!
Yoga Nidra is not quite the same as meditation. In a Yoga Nidra practice you are lying down and the techniques used help you move into a semi-hypnotic state, somewhere between being awake and asleep. This is an enjoyable and effortless way to achieve deep relaxation and rejuvenation at the end of a busy week, and will provide you with renewed energy just in time for the weekend. Consider giving it a try for yourself.
