What should I bring?
Yoga Balance provides all the equipment you require, including yoga mats, bolsters and blankets, however you are welcome to bring your own if you wish to do so. To enable you to practice at home and for health reasons, students are encouraged to purchase their own yoga mat. Quality yoga mats, yoga props and accessories are available at Yoga Balance Studio & Gift Shop.
Can I eat before class?
It is recommended that you avoid eating for two hours prior to your yoga class if possible. If you do feel the need to eat prior to class, a light snack is suggested rather than a full meal.
What are the benefits of yoga?

Yes. One of the wonderful aspects of yoga is that it is suitable for everybody... regardless of your age, ability, experience, fitness level or physical limitations. Our yoga classes are designed to allow you to participate at your own pace and discover the holistic benefits of yoga within your own level of capability.

Meditation can improve your memory, concentration and awareness, as well as reducing stress, anxiety and poor sleep patterns. Meditation can also slow the ageing process and lower blood pressure, as well as decreasing the risk of heart disease, breast cancer and osteoporosis. The most important factor is that you find meditation to be a relaxing, enjoyable and rewarding experience.
